Larry Kelley is not only a talented storyteller who is loved by his listeners of all ages, but is respected by Jonesborough Storytellers Guild and all of the storytelling world as a knowledgeable teacher and workshop leader. Larry has developed and led numerous and invaluable story workshops for the Guild. I personally have experienced the benefit of story coaching from Larry Kelley. I have witnessed Larry’s thrill of telling stories to children. And I have seen those children mesmerized by his stories.

In 2009, Nolachuckey Elementary School had the honor of hosting Larry Kelley as a storyteller for a Family Night. His stories were wonderful! Mr. Kelley captivated the children and the adults. The room would go from complete silence to a roar of laughter. After the event everyone discussed what a talent Mr. Kelley had for the art of storytelling. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade enjoyed the night very much. We feel his program should be heard yearly if not more often!
